Ireland Warns Against Sharing Information with Israel
The British magazine The Register published that Ireland requested the European Commission to review the agreement on information sharing between the European Union and Israel. This comes within the context of Israel forging passports of European countries during the assassination operation of the Hammas leader Mahmoud Almabhouh. The agreement includes sharing private information to combat money laundering. The Irish Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform Dermott Ahern expressed his fear that personal information would be misused by the Israelis. He also warned that the act of forgery done by the Israeli side should be taken more seriously by the European Commission.
